About

THE FOUNDER, PATRICE BARRETT

Patrice Barrett is a native of Gifford, South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood from Winthrop University as a Teaching Fellow in 2013. She attended the University of South Carolina to obtain a Master's in Language and Literacy where she earned her Read to Succeed endorsement. Her teaching experience includes substituting full-time in kindergarten through twelfth-grade classrooms and teaching elementary students. She is currently the reading interventionist in a rural school district. Ms.Barrett spends her time sharing her phonics workbook, making parent-friendly youtube videos, and creating literacy workshops for parents. She enjoys reading, walking, and attending poetry shows. She currently resides in Allendale, South Carolina.

Breaking into Phonics

The purpose of this book is to provide support for parents to help their children increase their reading skills.Parents can use this workbook on a daily basis to provide a structure for learning at home. This tool will help parents reinforce phonics and writing skills students have learned at school. Breaking into Phonics will serve as a guide for parents who are interested in increasing student spelling skills and their children's thinking skills.
